Back in 2014, we approached the International Creative Industry Awards body D&AD to see if they were up for collaborating on a creative intervention to explore why the creative advertising industry wasn’t talking about climate change.

Through interviews, a creative gathering, prototyping hack and some stunt activations ‘Break the Silence’ was born.

The initiative was recognised as an important early catalyst for climate action in the sector which is now accelerating.
